Donna the activist
A creative extension of Donna Walton, Shaping the Perception of What "disability" looks like by promoting women of color through various media platforms
Donna has made an extraordinary impact in the communities of women of color and people with disabilities through her 501c3 organization, The Divas With Disabilities Project™ (DWD). The project is a platform for meaningful discussions on important issues, self-love, and empowerment through various media forms.
The Divas With Disabilities Project™ (DWD) has not only made an impact but also grown into a thriving community of women. These women use social media platforms to engage in discussions, share resources, and address critical issues that need attention, showcasing the success and engagement of the project.
DoDonna'sision for The Divas With Disabilities Project includes organizing an annual empowerment conference to unite women from the US and internationally. This conference aims to provide a platform for women to share their stories, gain motivation, and strive toward living their lives to the fullest.
Additionally, Donna is working on producing a documentary film called "D" vas with Disabilities," "which will explore the experiences of American Black women living with physical disabilities.
"Divas never dim your lights... Ask others to wear shades if your wattage is too bright for them."
